The Holiday Inn Express, Harlow is a £6.6m scheme which has created a new 122 bedroom hotel with restaurant, lounge and conference facilities for business travelers. Designed to be a ‘home from home’, the hotel features contemporary décor and ambient lighting to make it a relaxing haven for guests. Launched in November 2012, it created 20 new jobs for local people.
Working on behalf of main contractor, Bowmer & Kirkland, Power On Connections managed the entire electrical infrastructure for the project including the commissioning and energisation of a 500kVA substation together with design and installation of an HV cable route and 455kV LV network. The entire project was delivered by the team in just under six weeks, ensuring the hotel was completed on time.
