Electricity Connections

Electricity Connections

Power On Connections are accredited to operate nationally under the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) to carry out the following infrastructure and connection works:

  • New electricity connections - High Voltage (HV) or large Low Voltage (LV) supplies
  • Electrical design of distribution networks from 11kV to 132kV
  • LV and HV cabling - LV,11kV, 33kV, 66kV, 132kV
  • LV and HV cable jointing – LV dead, LV live, 11kV, 33kV, 66kV, 132kV
  • Design and build of primary and secondary substations from 11kV to 132kV
  • Self-determination of the Point of Connection (POC) – LV, 11kV
  • Self-connection - jointing and operational capability
  • On-site and off-site civils works, up to the point of connection

Working with Power On Connections brings many advantages, such as streamlined processes and shorter timescales. In addition to the main electricity connections proposal detailing the phased payments, we can also include:

  • Temporary builders’ supplies
  • Diversionary works
  • Design, build and adoption of the electrical riser mains and laterals for apartments
  • Flexible meter positions
  • Street lighting connections
  • Phased energisation on residential and mixed-use developments

Accredited to carry out self-determination, we can ascertain the nearest point of connection ourselves which speeds up the process considerably.  We can also self-approve designs in-house, providing a complete ‘one stop shop’ and are accredited to undertake self-connection works.  In short, we have all it takes to deliver your requirements without relying upon the incumbent DNO to energise your connection.

All our electricity connections are underpinned by our commitment to safety and quality through our HSQE benchmarks and our many industry accreditations. See our Health and Safety and Accreditations pages for full details.
