Constructing the on site contestable works
probably needs the most co-ordination with the main contractor. There are
hundreds of activities that are being completed on site, all with their own
critical issues. Rather than dictating how and when we attend
site to undertake the connection work, Power On works closely with the
relevant parties to co-ordinate its works in line with your project
constraints. There are various activities such as the
construction of the substation buildings where we are totally flexible on the
work undertaken by ourselves. If you require us to construct the substation
building we have the full range of capabilities. But if it suits you to have
this construction work undertaken by your civil contractor we will work
closely with your team to ensure they are built to the DNO requirements. Finally we fix the Power On date with you at
the start of the contract so you can be sure power is available when you need
