An accurate and realistic assessment of the load you will be connecting is important to ensure that the capacity of the connection provided is neither too large or too small.

Each utility has particular parameters it uses to assess the “diversity” of different kinds of loads and these can make a significant difference to the connection capacity required.

Working with you or your M&E Consultant, Power On will help translate your connected load (i.e. the arithmetic sum of all loads to be connected) into a realistic estimate of required ASC (Authorised Supply Capacity) and ensure that the method used is acceptable to the local utility wherever your site may be located.

Carrying out this work at an early stage can help ensure that later changes are minimised, changes which can delay the utilities work and push back the power on date as well as cause utility costs to increase beyond the original budget estimate.
