Many parts of the electricity network are
“capacity constrained”. This means that before any new connection can be made
that is larger than the available spare capacity, the network will need to be
reinforced ‘upstream’ of the local substation. This process will often be expensive and
almost certainly increase the time it will take to provide the connection. Finding out that you have this problem at a
late stage is a frequent reason why connections get delivered late and over
budget. To avoid this impacting on your project Power
On is able to evaluate the network in the area of your new load development
and advise if it is capable of supplying your load without additional
reinforcement. Where reinforcement is absolutely unavoidable,
we will also advise a suitable estimate for budget purposes and later
verification that the local utility quote is fair and reasonable. |
